How to transfer the LCN domain to WordPress Hosting?

Here’s how to transfer your domain names to your WordPress Hosting account and save money on renewals.

Transfer the ‘.uk’ domain from LCN

  1. Log in to your LCN domain account and then select [Control Panel]
  2. Now select your domain and then click Domain Transfers
  3. Then select the link [Click here to change the Nominet TAG] and enter the WordPress Hosting IPS tag, which is ‘EXTEND’
  4. Explain why you’re leaving and choose Proceed
  5. Finally, log in to your WordPress Hosting account, and select Transfer a Domain
  6. Enter the domain name and select Add to Cart
  7. Follow on-screen instructions and complete checkout. Transfers are free. The transfer will complete almost instantly

Transfer .com, .net, .org and other domains from LCN

  1. Log in to your LCN domain account and select Control Panel
  2. Now select your domain and click Domain Transfers
  3. Then select the link ‘[Click here to transfer your domain away/out from LCN’] 
  4. Enter the e-mail address of where you’d like your Authorisation Code sent
  5. Finally, log in to your WordPress Hosting and select Transfer a Domain
  6. Enter the domain name and select Add to Cart
  7. Follow the on-screen instruction and complete the checkout
  8. There’s a GBP 13.00 transfer fee to move the domain but don’t worry. For most TLDs, you’ll get an extra year’s renewal added to the renewal free of charge
  9. An e-mail will be sent within 30 minutes but can take up to 6-8 hours – to the Admin Contact, which you choose during domain registration with LCN
  10. Follow the link in this e-mail and Approve the transfer by entering the Authorisation Code obtained earlier
  11. Once authorised, the transfer will complete automatically within seven days

Transfer .uk.com, .gb.com, .eu.com, .uk.net, .gb.net and .eu.net domains from LCN

  1. Log in to your LCN domain account and select Control Panel
  2. Now select your domain and click Domain Transfers
  3. Then select the link ‘[Click here to transfer your domain away/out from LCN]’ 
  4. Enter the e-mail address of where you’d like your Authorisation Code sent
  5. Finally, log in to your WordPress Hosting and select Transfer a Domain
  6. Enter the domain name
  7. Enter Authorisation Code
  8. Select Add to Cart
  9. Follow the on-screen instructions and complete the checkout
  10. You will be charged for a year’s domain registration (or as long as you wish)
  11. The transfer will complete automatically within seven days
