How do I restore my WordPress website using Automatic Backups?

You can restore from any available snapshot at any time. 

Your WordPress website contains two types of data.

  1. WordPress website files
  2. WordPress website database

You can restore website files and databases from the previous 30 days’ automatic backups.

To restore from backups:

  1. Reach your Web Hosting Control Panel
  2. Choose your website from the list
  3. Click [Log in to Control Panel]
  4. Click [Timeline Backups]

Restore the WordPress website files

  1. Select [View Snapshots] next to Web
  2. Select a [Snapshot Time], the package you want to restore the data to, and (optionally) a path
  3. Leaving the path field empty will replace the current files with that of the restore

Restore the WordPress website database

  1. Select [View Snapshots] Databases
  2. Select a [Snapshot Time], the target package and the database you want to overwrite
  3. Optionally, you can select [Restore to file], which will dump a .SQL file in the webspace. You can then manually import your WordPress database directly from the file.
